Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K / 4K Max

The Firestick 4K Max is the default recommendation for a reason: it costs less than a takeaway, decodes HEVC in hardware and runs TiviMate better than most $200 boxes. Use the 4K Max rather than the Lite if you watch sport.

What you need

  • Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max (Fire OS 7 or newer)
  • 5GHz Wi-Fi or the optional Ethernet adapter
  • 25 Mbps for one 4K stream; 50 Mbps for two
  • Amazon account for the Appstore

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install Downloader. From the Fire TV home screen open Find → Search, type Downloader, and install the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews.
  2. 2Allow unknown apps. Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps, then enable Downloader. If Developer Options is hidden, tap About → Fire TV Stick seven times.
  3. 3Install TiviMate. Open Downloader, enter the TiviMate downloader code supplied with your activation message, and install the APK. Accept the install prompt.
  4. 4Add your Xtream line. Open TiviMate → Add Playlist → Xtream Codes Login. Enter the server URL, username and password from Stable IPTV, then set the EPG to Xtream Codes EPG.
  5. 5Tune playback. Go to Settings → Playback → Decoder and choose Hardware. Set buffer to 2–3 seconds on Ethernet or 3–4 seconds on 5GHz Wi-Fi.
  6. 6Test peak-hour sport. Open a 4K sports lane during a live event, let it run for ten minutes and check player statistics for dropped frames before judging the service.

Pro tips

  • Use the Ethernet adapter for the most stable 4K sports playback.
  • Keep at least 1GB of free storage for EPG and app updates.
  • Disable sleep after 30 minutes if you watch long sports broadcasts.
  • Do not install more than two IPTV players — they compete for memory.

If it misbehaves

  • If TiviMate stutters, switch decoder from Auto to Hardware.
  • If the app crashes on launch, clear cache (not data) and restart the stick.
  • If channels load but the guide is empty, refresh the EPG manually.

Apple TV 4K (tvOS)

Apple TV 4K has the strongest silicon of any streaming box and IPTVX is a genuinely excellent player. The remote takes a day to learn, but channel surfing and frame-rate matching are superb once configured.

What you need

  • Apple TV HD or 4K running tvOS 17+
  • An Apple ID for the App Store
  • 25 Mbps for 4K; Ethernet preferred on the 4K model
  • Match Dynamic Range enabled for HDR feeds

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install IPTVX. Open the App Store on Apple TV, search for IPTVX and install it. IPTV Smarters Pro is a free alternative if you prefer not to buy a player.
  2. 2Add Xtream credentials. Open IPTVX → Playlists → Add Playlist → Xtream Codes, then enter the server URL, username and password from your activation message.
  3. 3Enable frame-rate matching. In Apple TV Settings → Video and Audio, enable Match Content for dynamic range and frame rate. This prevents judder on 50fps European feeds.
  4. 4Load the guide. Return to IPTVX, open the playlist settings and refresh the EPG. Give it two minutes on first load; the guide is large.
  5. 5Set audio output. Choose Auto or Dolby Atmos depending on your receiver. If you hear drops on a soundbar, set Change Format to Dolby Digital 5.1 as a fallback.

Pro tips

  • Use a wired connection on the Apple TV 4K for the most consistent 4K bitrate.
  • The Apple TV remote's touch surface is easy to over-shoot — enable directional buttons in Settings → Remotes.
  • Siri search does not index IPTV content, so use the player's own search.
  • Restart the Apple TV after a tvOS update before testing playback again.

If it misbehaves

  • If IPTVX shows a black screen, toggle Match Frame Rate off and on.
  • If audio is out of sync, restart the Apple TV rather than the app.
  • If the playlist fails to load, re-enter the URL without a trailing slash.
Nvidia Shield / Android TV Box setup for Stable IPTV
03 / Android TV
5 minutes4K HDR · 60FPS
TiviMate PremiumXtream Codes API + M3U

Nvidia Shield / Android TV Box

The Nvidia Shield Pro remains the fastest Android TV device for IPTV. It handles high-bitrate HEVC without thermal throttling and supports lossless audio passthrough for a proper cinema room.

What you need

  • Android TV 9+ or Nvidia Shield (2019 models or newer)
  • Google account for the Play Store
  • Ethernet strongly recommended
  • A legal IPTV player from the Play Store

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install TiviMate from the Play Store. On the Android TV home screen open the Play Store, search TiviMate and install it. The free version works; Premium unlocks recording and multiple playlists.
  2. 2Add the Xtream playlist. Open TiviMate → Add Playlist → Xtream Codes Login and enter the server URL, username and password. Name the playlist Stable IPTV.
  3. 3Select bouquets. Choose only the bouquets you actually watch. Loading all 22,500 channels at once slows the initial sync on older boxes.
  4. 4Configure the decoder. Settings → Playback → Decoder → Hardware. On the Shield, leave AI upscaling off for native 4K feeds; upscaling a 4K channel adds artefacts.
  5. 5Set refresh rate switching. Enable frame-rate switching in TiviMate and in Android TV display settings so 50fps football and 60fps US sport both play without judder.

Pro tips

  • The Shield Pro's gigabit Ethernet is a real advantage over Wi-Fi sticks.
  • Use a Bluetooth remote with number keys if you channel-surf a lot.
  • Keep the box ventilated; thermal throttling looks exactly like buffering.
  • Map the remote's coloured buttons to favourite bouquets in TiviMate.

If it misbehaves

  • If 4K feeds stutter but 1080p is fine, check HDMI cable bandwidth (use Premium High Speed).
  • If the box overheats, raise it off the shelf and clean the vents.
  • If TiviMate cannot write recordings, grant storage permission in Android settings.

Smart IPTV / iBO PlayerM3U playlist + MAC address

Samsung / LG Smart TV

Samsung Tizen and LG webOS can run IPTV without a stick, but the app ecosystem is more restricted. Smart IPTV and iBO Player are the two most reliable options; both use your TV's MAC address to bind the playlist.

What you need

  • Samsung Tizen 2018+ or LG webOS 4.0+
  • The TV connected to the internet
  • Your TV's MAC address
  • A one-off player licence (usually €5–€7)

Setup sequence

  1. 1Find the MAC address. Samsung: Settings → Support → About This TV. LG: Settings → General → Devices → TV Information. Write down the wired or wireless MAC, whichever connection you use.
  2. 2Install the player. Samsung: open Apps and install Smart IPTV or iBO Player. LG: open LG Content Store and install Smart IPTV or Set IPTV.
  3. 3Send the MAC to activation. Message the MAC address and your playlist URL to the Stable IPTV WhatsApp desk. We bind the line and confirm when it is live.
  4. 4Load the playlist. Open the app, enter the playlist URL if required, and wait for the channel list to sync. On Smart IPTV the URL can be uploaded through the provider portal instead.
  5. 5Tune the picture. Disable motion smoothing for sport, enable game mode for low latency, and set the picture mode to Filmmaker or ISF for cinema.

Pro tips

  • Use a wired connection if your TV has an Ethernet port; Wi-Fi chips in TVs are weaker than a Firestick's.
  • Smart IPTV's licence is tied to the MAC address, not the TV model.
  • If the app disappears after a firmware update, reinstall it from the store.
  • Older 2016–2017 TVs may cap at 1080p regardless of the feed.

If it misbehaves

  • If the playlist shows zero channels, the MAC binding has not propagated — ask support to refresh it.
  • If audio drops on HDMI ARC, set the TV to PCM rather than Auto.
  • If the app is slow, reduce the number of loaded bouquets.

IPTV Smarters ProXtream Codes API

iPhone, iPad & Apple TV (mobile)

IPTV Smarters Pro for iOS is free, fast and supports Xtream Codes, M3U and AirPlay. It is the easiest way to test a line on a phone before committing to a living-room device.

What you need

  • iOS 15+ or iPadOS 15+
  • A stable mobile or Wi-Fi connection
  • AirPlay 2 for casting to an Apple TV
  • 20 Mbps for 4K on newer iPhones and iPads

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install IPTV Smarters Pro. Open the App Store, search IPTV Smarters Pro and install it. Accept the terms and allow local network access for casting.
  2. 2Log in with Xtream Codes. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API, enter a profile name, then the server URL, username and password from Stable IPTV.
  3. 3Download the EPG. Open Settings → EPG and refresh. On mobile data this can take a minute; use Wi-Fi for the first load.
  4. 4Enable AirPlay. Start a channel, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV. Keep the iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network and unlocked for the first connection.

Pro tips

  • Use Wi-Fi for 4K; mobile data will drain a battery quickly.
  • Download the EPG on Wi-Fi, then switch to mobile data for playback.
  • Use a Lightning or USB-C to HDMI adapter for a wired TV connection.
  • Disable low-power mode when casting long sports events.

If it misbehaves

  • If AirPlay shows a black screen, restart both devices and reconnect.
  • If the app logs out, re-enter credentials rather than reinstalling.
  • If playback stutters on cellular, lower the stream quality in the player.

IPTV Smarters ProXtream Codes API + M3U

Mac & Windows PC

Desktop is the best place to test a new line because you can see player statistics clearly. IPTV Smarters Pro is available for Windows and macOS; VLC plays an M3U URL as a fallback.

What you need

  • Windows 10/11 or macOS 12+
  • A browser for the download
  • Wired Ethernet preferred for 4K
  • Hardware HEVC decoding for smooth 4K

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install the player. Download IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows or macOS from the official site. On macOS, allow the app in System Settings → Privacy & Security if prompted.
  2. 2Add Xtream login. Choose Xtream Codes API, name the profile and enter the server URL, username and password.
  3. 3Use VLC as a fallback. If the app will not launch, open VLC → Media → Open Network Stream and paste the M3U URL. VLC proves whether the line works independently of the player.
  4. 4Enable hardware decoding. In the player settings, turn on hardware acceleration. On older laptops, force 1080p rather than 4K to avoid dropped frames.

Pro tips

  • Use Ethernet for the most reliable 4K testing.
  • Keep the player window on one monitor to avoid GPU scaling overhead.
  • VLC is a diagnostic tool, not a daily driver — its channel list is basic.
  • Close browser tabs before a 4K test to free GPU memory.

If it misbehaves

  • If the app is blocked by SmartScreen, choose More info → Run anyway after verifying the source.
  • If audio is missing in VLC, change the audio track with Audio → Audio Track.
  • If 4K drops frames, check GPU decode support in Task Manager or Activity Monitor.
MAG & Formuler Set-Top Boxes setup for Stable IPTV

5 minutesFHD / 4K depending on model
Portal URL (Stalker)Portal URL + MAC address

MAG & Formuler Set-Top Boxes

MAG and Formuler boxes use the Stalker portal protocol rather than Xtream Codes. They feel like a cable box, which suits viewers who want a simple remote and channel numbers, but the setup depends on MAC registration.

What you need

  • MAG 420/424 or Formuler Z8/Z10/Z11
  • The box's MAC address
  • Portal URL from Stable IPTV
  • Ethernet recommended

Setup sequence

  1. 1Find the MAC address. Open the box settings → Network → Device info and note the MAC address. It usually starts with 00:1A:79 for MAG devices.
  2. 2Send the MAC for registration. Message the MAC address and your preferred bouquet to the WhatsApp desk. We register the portal line against that MAC.
  3. 3Open the portal menu. On MAG: Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. On Formuler: open the MyTVOnline app → Add Portal.
  4. 4Enter the portal URL. Paste the portal URL exactly as supplied, including http:// or https:// and the port. Save and restart the portal.
  5. 5Load the channel list. The box will download the portal profile. This can take two minutes on first boot. Enter the adult-content PIN if prompted, or leave it default.

Pro tips

  • Do not clone a MAC address between boxes; the portal will disconnect one of them.
  • Use Ethernet; MAG Wi-Fi adapters are notoriously unreliable.
  • Formuler's MyTVOnline 2 is faster than the stock MAG portal.
  • Keep a note of the portal URL — factory resets wipe it.

If it misbehaves

  • If the portal says 'account blocked', the MAC registration has not propagated.
  • If the channel list is empty, restart the box rather than re-entering the URL.
  • If the remote lags, reduce the EPG window to one day.
Enigma2 / Dreambox / Vu+ setup for Stable IPTV

6 minutesFHD / 4K depending on tuner
Xtream script / M3UXtream Codes API + M3U

Enigma2 / Dreambox / Vu+

Enigma2 receivers can run IPTV alongside satellite, but the setup is the least friendly on this list. You will need SSH or the box's plugin manager, and a bouquet editor such as DreamboxEDIT or Jedi Maker Xtream.

What you need

  • Enigma2 receiver (Vu+, Dreambox, Zgemma, Octagon)
  • OpenATV, OpenPLi or VTi image
  • Network access to the box (SSH or web interface)
  • Xtream Codes credentials from Stable IPTV

Setup sequence

  1. 1Install a bouquet plugin. From the receiver's plugin menu install Jedi Maker Xtream or XtreamTV. On OpenATV you may need to enable the extensions feed first.
  2. 2Enter Xtream credentials. Open the plugin, choose Add Playlist, and enter the server URL, username and password. Select the bouquets you want to import.
  3. 3Generate bouquets. Run the import and let the plugin build the channel bouquets. On a large line this can take several minutes; do not interrupt it.
  4. 4Refresh the EPG. Set the EPG refresh to daily at 04:00 and increase the EPG cache if the receiver has limited RAM.
  5. 5Test a 4K feed. Open a 4K channel and check for audio sync and dropped frames. If the box struggles, use the 1080p variant of the same channel.

Pro tips

  • Back up the image before installing plugins.
  • Use a wired connection; Enigma2 Wi-Fi drivers vary wildly.
  • Keep the bouquet list under 100 favourites for a responsive remote.
  • If you use satellite too, separate the IPTV and satellite bouquets.

If it misbehaves

  • If the plugin crashes, check the receiver's free flash space.
  • If channels freeze after 30 seconds, the stream profile may be too high for the box.
  • If the EPG is empty, clear the EPG cache and refresh manually.
Device FAQ

Compatibility questions, answered plainly.

If your device is not listed, message the desk with the model number. Most Android, tvOS and webOS hardware is supported with the right player.

Check my device
Which device is best for Stable IPTV in 2026?

For most households the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the best balance of price, performance and app support. If picture quality is the priority, the Apple TV 4K with IPTVX is cleaner. If you want the fastest Android box, the Nvidia Shield Pro is still the reference.

Can I use one subscription on several devices?

Yes, but simultaneous connections are what matter. A single-device plan can be moved between devices, while 2, 3 or 4 connections let different screens watch at the same time. Add connections in the pricing selector or at checkout.

Do I need to install a special app?

You need a compatible IPTV player, not a special Stable IPTV app. TiviMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, IPTVX, Smart IPTV, iBO Player and VLC are all supported. We send the exact setup steps for your device after activation.

Why does my Smart TV app ask for a MAC address?

Samsung and LG players bind the playlist to the TV's MAC address. Send the MAC to our WhatsApp desk and we register the line. This is normal for Smart IPTV and iBO Player.

Can I watch on a phone and cast to a TV?

Yes. IPTV Smarters Pro on iOS and Android supports AirPlay and Chromecast. For long sports events a native TV app or stick is more reliable because the phone must stay awake and on the same network.

What internet speed do I need for 4K?

25 Mbps is enough for one 4K stream. Use 50 Mbps for two 4K screens and 100 Mbps if several people watch different feeds. Stability and jitter matter more than headline speed; wired Ethernet is always preferable.

Your device is probably already supported.

Start the 24-hour trial, send your device model to the WhatsApp desk, and we will send the matching player link and activation profile.
